Frequently asked questions
1. I'm not receiving the verification code
- Check your spam folder first
- Make sure the email address is spelled correctly
- There is a 60-second cooldown per address — please wait and try again
- Still nothing? Email us and tell us which mail provider you use (QQ, 163, Gmail, etc.)
2. Will I lose my data if I change phones?
No. Your lists, budget and notes live in your own iCloud account. Sign in with the same Apple ID on the new device, make sure iCloud is enabled in Settings, and everything syncs over.
3. The Home Screen widget isn't refreshing, or shows nothing
- Open the app once so it can finish a sync
- Touch and hold the widget → Edit Widget → pick it again
- Check that you're signed in to iCloud in Settings
4. How do I cancel a subscription? How do I request a refund?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → KeepNote → Cancel Subscription.
Refunds also go through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). As a developer we can't issue refunds directly, but if you run into trouble, please write to us.
5. How do I delete my account and data?
You can do it inside the app: Me → Account → Delete Account.
This also clears the only thing we store on our server — your email address and user ID. Your lists, budget and notes were always in your own iCloud and can be managed in Settings.
If you can't get into the app, email us with the address you signed in with and we'll handle it within 7 business days.
6. I forgot my password
KeepNote signs you in with an email verification code — there is no password to forget.
7. Is my data uploaded to your servers?
No. Your lists, budget and notes stay in your own iCloud account and we cannot read them. Our server only stores the email address and user ID needed to sign in. See the Privacy Policy for details.
